About WagyuBeef.eu
About WagyuBeef.eu
WagyuBeef.eu was created by people who genuinely love Wagyu beef and premium meat. We are not only an online store; we also work in beef, lamb and poultry distribution for restaurants, chefs, resellers and private customers who want reliable access to high-quality meat in Europe.
Our main focus is authentic Japanese A5 Wagyu, including premium selections such as Kobe beef, Miyazaki A5, Hida A5 and Kagoshima A5. We also supply carefully selected Australian Wagyu, US Prime beef and other premium cuts for customers who want restaurant-level quality delivered directly to their door.
Authentic, certified and traceable Wagyu
WagyuBeef.eu sells authentic Wagyu beef, not imitation products. Our Japanese A5 Wagyu is sourced from Japan and can be traced to its region of origin, including famous Wagyu regions such as Kagoshima, Miyazaki, Hida and Kobe, depending on current availability. Japanese A5 Wagyu and Kobe beef are rare and highly appreciated for their exceptional marbling, marmorare, tenderness and unique flavour.
Certification and origin documentation can be provided on request for premium Japanese Wagyu and Kobe beef, depending on the specific product and batch. This gives customers in Europe a safer and more reliable way to buy authentic Japanese Wagyu online.
Secure payment
Payments on WagyuBeef.eu are processed securely through trusted international payment providers, including Stripe and PayPal. Customers can pay by credit or debit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Link by Stripe, where available.
We do not store card details on our website. Card information is handled by secure payment processors, helping customers order premium Wagyu beef with confidence.
Why customers choose WagyuBeef.eu
We carefully select our meat before shipping, with attention to marbling, marmorare, cut quality, freshness, packaging and delivery speed. Because we work in premium meat distribution, we can choose better cuts and offer a curated selection instead of random stock.

Who it’s for
This cut is for steak enthusiasts who want discovery alongside quality — food lovers curious about Japan's less-internationally-famous but equally certified Wagyu regions, chefs building authentic Japanese tasting menus, connoisseurs comparing regional profiles, and savvy buyers seeking top-tier A5 at a more accessible price than Kobe or Matsusaka. Kagoshima Ribeye is ideal for those who already know Miyazaki or Hida and want to explore the southern Kyushu Wagyu character.

- Cut: Ribeye — the richest, most marbled steak cut with intense flavor

- Price: €202.50/kg (regular €270/kg, currently -25%)

Unique differentiators
Kagoshima is the biggest Wagyu region in Japan by volume, producing roughly 20% of all Japanese Wagyu — more than any other prefecture. Located on the southern tip of Kyushu island, Kagoshima benefits from a warm subtropical climate, volcanic soil, and a long Wagyu-breeding tradition. At the 2017 All-Japan Wagyu Ability Expo (the "Wagyu Olympics"), a Kagoshima cow won the individual cattle championship — cementing the region's reputation for top-tier quality alongside its massive production volume.
What makes this specific cut special: - Kagoshima A5 delivers the full Japanese Wagyu experience — melt-in-mouth texture, sweet umami finish — at a more accessible price than Kobe or Matsusaka - Ribeye is the most marbled primal cut, so BMS 10+ Kagoshima ribeye showcases the region's characteristic marbling at its most expressive - Every animal is 100% purebred Kuroge Washu, traceable through Japan's national nose-print ID registry, with certified documentation included - We ship DHL next-day directly from our Bucharest-based EU coldstore — arriving within 24-48 hours across all 29 EU countries we deliver to - Currently 25% off regular price (€270 → €202.50/kg) — one of the best entry prices for Japanese A5 ribeye in Europe
Why this product
Kagoshima is Japanese Wagyu's best-kept secret for value-conscious enthusiasts. It delivers the same A5 grade and purebred Kuroge Washu lineage as Kobe or Matsusaka, but at a significantly lower price because the region's massive production volume makes it less "exclusive" on paper — not lower quality.
Compared to Miyazaki Ribeye (€202.50/kg same discount), Kagoshima offers a slightly different flavor profile: southern Kyushu Wagyu tends toward a sweeter, smoother umami finish vs. Miyazaki's more pronounced buttery richness. Both are exceptional — it comes down to personal preference. Compared to Kobe (typically €400+/kg for A5 ribeye), Kagoshima delivers equivalent eating quality at half the price.
At €202.50/kg with the current 25% discount, this is one of the best-value Japanese A5 ribeye options available in the EU. For a dinner of 8-10 people, 1 kg creates a memorable main course.
For home cooking, ribeye is the most forgiving Wagyu cut — the fat layer naturally bastes the meat. Hot pan, 60-90 seconds per side, rest, slice thin against the grain. Salt only, no oil needed.
FAQ
Q: Where is Kagoshima and what makes its Wagyu special? A: Kagoshima Prefecture is on the southern tip of Kyushu island — Japan's warm, volcanic southern region. It's the largest Wagyu-producing prefecture in Japan, responsible for about 20% of all Japanese Wagyu. The warm climate and volcanic soil, combined with centuries of refined breeding, create Wagyu with a sweet, smooth umami profile and excellent marbling consistency.
Q: Is Kagoshima Wagyu as good as Kobe? A: By A5 grade standards — yes, both meet the same highest tier of Japanese Wagyu certification. Kobe is more internationally famous (marketing), while Kagoshima has historically been Japan's volume producer. Both use purebred Kuroge Washu cattle. Kagoshima cattle have won individual championship awards at the Wagyu Olympics. For eating quality at A5 with BMS 10+, the difference comes down to regional flavor character, not quality tier. Kagoshima typically costs significantly less.
Q: How does Kagoshima Ribeye compare to Miyazaki Ribeye? A: Both are A5 Japanese Wagyu ribeye from neighboring Kyushu prefectures. Miyazaki has won the Wagyu Olympics overall championship three times (2007, 2012, 2017); Kagoshima won the individual cattle championship in 2017. Flavor-wise, Kagoshima tends toward sweeter, smoother umami; Miyazaki tends toward more pronounced buttery richness. Both exceptional — different characters of the same A5 quality.
Q: How should I cook A5 Wagyu Ribeye at home? A: Keep it simple. Bring to room temperature 30 minutes before cooking. Season lightly with salt only. Use a hot, dry cast-iron pan — no oil (the fat will render). Sear 60-90 seconds per side for a 2cm slice. Rest 3-5 minutes. Slice thin against the grain. Never cook past medium-rare — the marbling melts at body temperature and overcooking destroys the texture.
Q: How much should I order per person? A: 80-100g per person as a main course (ribeye is richer than fillet, smaller portions satisfy), or 60g as part of a tasting. A 1 kg order serves 10-12 as a main dish, or 15-18 as tasting portions.
Q: Is this shipped fresh or frozen? A: Shipped frozen, vacuum-packed, via DHL Express next-day. Depending on transit time it may arrive partially thawed, but the cold chain is maintained throughout. You can thaw completely in the fridge and consume within the best-before date, or place directly in your freezer at -18°C for up to 2 additional months.
Q: Does it come with certification? A: Yes — every shipment includes Japanese authenticity documentation with the individual cattle's nose-print ID, farm of origin, and A5 grading certification. This confirms the meat is 100% purebred Kuroge Washu and Kagoshima-region verified.
Q: Why is it 25% off right now? A: This is part of our Barbecue Season 2026 promotion — genuine limited-time discount on select premium Wagyu. Regular price is €270/kg.
Q: Can I order less than 1 kg? A: Minimum order for this cut is 1 kg. For smaller portions, see our Australian Wagyu BMS 5-6 Ribeye (€99/kg) as an alternative.
Q: How long does it keep? A: 4-5 days refrigerated in the vacuum pack after full thawing. Up to 2 additional months if stored frozen at -18°C upon arrival.

Shipping & Cold-Chain Delivery Across Europe
WagyuBeef.eu ships premium frozen Wagyu beef and premium meat across Europe using insulated packaging, frozen thermo gel packs and dry ice. Our shipping process is designed to protect the cold chain, keep the products frozen or safely cold during transit, and deliver your order as quickly as possible through DHL Express.
We know that ordering premium Wagyu online requires trust. That is why we carefully pack every order and take responsibility for the shipment when a logistics issue, carrier delay or cold-chain problem occurs and it is not caused by the customer.
Free shipping is available on orders over €350.
When we ship your order
Orders are usually shipped from Monday to Wednesday. This helps avoid unnecessary weekend delays and keeps frozen shipments moving through the DHL network as fast as possible.
Orders placed from Thursday to Sunday are usually prepared and shipped the following Monday. This schedule is used to protect product quality and reduce the risk of a frozen food shipment being delayed over the weekend.
Fast DHL Express delivery across Europe
Packages are transported from our cold-storage facility near Bucharest Airport to the DHL airport facility shortly before departure. In normal conditions, boxes are delivered to the DHL airport facility close to flight departure time, reducing unnecessary time outside controlled storage.
We usually ship with DHL Express. Most EU deliveries arrive within 24–48 hours after dispatch, depending on the destination country, DHL route, local delivery conditions and any exceptional logistics events.
After dispatch, you will receive a DHL tracking number so you can follow your shipment in real time. Because this is a frozen food shipment, please follow the tracking closely and make sure someone is available to receive the package on the delivery day.
How we keep your Wagyu cold in transit
Each shipment is packed in an insulated box with frozen thermo gel packs and dry ice. Dry ice has a temperature of approximately −79 °C and helps maintain very low temperatures during transit.
Our packaging is designed to protect the cold chain for up to 96 hours under normal shipping conditions. This gives the shipment a safety margin in case of normal transit variations.
Important dry ice safety warning: do not touch dry ice with bare hands. Dry ice is extremely cold and can cause cold burns. Do not place dry ice directly on skin, in your mouth, near children or near pets. Let any remaining dry ice evaporate naturally in a well-ventilated area.
Delivery guarantee: you do not risk your order
When you order from WagyuBeef.eu, you do not take the risk for shipping problems caused by transit delays, logistics issues or cold-chain failure during delivery. We guarantee that your order reaches you in proper condition.
If a shipment is delayed by the carrier or arrives compromised because of a logistics issue that is not your fault, WagyuBeef.eu takes responsibility. Depending on the situation, we will send the order again or offer a suitable solution.
The only exceptions are situations outside our responsibility or caused by the recipient, such as an incorrect delivery address, wrong phone number, recipient unavailable at delivery, failure to answer DHL, refusal of delivery, delivery rescheduling requested by the customer, or any other situation where DHL tries to deliver but cannot complete the delivery because of the recipient.
Our goal is simple: customers should feel safe ordering premium frozen Wagyu beef online. If you notice any delivery problem, contact us immediately so we can help.
Frozen, thawed & food safety
Our products are shipped frozen. Depending on outside temperature, transit time, destination country and the size or thickness of the cut, the product may arrive fully frozen, partially frozen, slightly thawed on the surface or fully thawed but still cold.
This does not automatically mean that the product is unsafe. The shipment is packed to protect the cold chain, and meat that arrives cold can usually be safely consumed according to the best-before date printed on the label.
Legal notice: for legal and labelling reasons, frozen meat shipped internationally may be declared as “thawed” even if it arrives still frozen or only partially thawed. This notice helps customers understand the correct storage and consumption instructions after delivery.
What to do when your order arrives
Option 1 — Enjoy soon:
Place the product in the refrigerator at approximately 0–5 °C and allow it to thaw completely. Once thawed, keep it refrigerated and consume it before the best-before date printed on the label.
Option 2 — Store for later:
If the product is still frozen or only slightly thawed on the surface when it arrives, you can place it directly in your freezer at −18 °C. In this condition, it can usually be stored for up to 2 additional months without loss of quality.
Important: if the product is fully thawed, do not refreeze it. Keep it refrigerated and consume it according to the best-before date on the label.
